ALS Ice Bucket Challenge Sundial-Style

DATE: August 29, 2014

Sundial Beach Resort & Spa Catering Sales Manager Alicia Wenturine  challenged Sundial Resort to  complete the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. This cause is especially near-and-dear to Alicia’s heart, as her family has been personally affected by the disease.

What is ALS?
According to the ALS  Association’s website, “ALS or Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, often referred to as ‘Lou Gehrig’s Disease,’ is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord. Motor neurons reach from the brain to the spinal cord and from the spinal cord to the muscles throughout the body.”

ALS Challenge Accepted by Sundial Resort
Sundial employees, nonetheless, rose to the occasion, participating in both the Ice Bucket Challenge and donation to ALS Association.  Employees completed the challenge Sundial-style, drenching  themselves in ice-cold water beach-side, along the  Gulf of Mexico with their toes in the sand and Florida sun beaming down on them.

Sundial Challenges YOU!
Furthermore, Sundial Resort is excited to pass the challenge on to Columbus Hospitality and ANYONE else who would like to HELP raise awareness and DONATE to  ALS research. Together, we can help find a cure!
