Sunset Strolling for Shells
Sand, shells and sunsets—beach strolling doesn’t get much better than this… Walking the beach as the sun disappears into the Gulf of Mexico is one of the best times to go shelling and an after-dinner tradition here at Sundial Resort. As the tide goes out, the little ones will enjoy picking from the buffet of seashells stuck to the shoreline. The island is home to over 250 species of shells. Just don’t forget to bring along a bucket or bag!
Biking the Island
There is so much to see in Sanibel and biking is the best way to go exploring! Sundial Resort offers bikes for all ages included in the resort fee as an amenity for all of our guests. We also offer bikes for men and women, bikes with training wheels, bicycles built for two, surreys and towing carriages for babies. There are also wide biking paths that venture throughout the entire island for safe and enjoyable travels as you explore one destination to the next on Sanibel Island.
Golfing at the Sanibel Island Golf Club
Take a break from the beach and spend an afternoon at the Sanibel Island Golf Club. The course “wraps around the scenic beauty of the Sanibel River.” Sundial Resort guests have granted access to this “semi-private, 18-hole par 70 championship golf course.” You don’t want to miss playing in paradise, “an unforgettable golf experience for players of all skill levels.” There is also a PGA Professional on site for guests interested in taking lessons during their stay.
Kayaking
Splash around in the sun as you paddle along the shoreline in our onsite kayaks! Complimentary beach kayaks are offered free to our guests as part of our amenities package. These are great for beach-goers who are looking to get active and have some fun in the sun. Kayak with the whole family!
